The Tesla Model Y was not really a lot

To launch its BESTYLED Y model, Tesla gave a limited edition “Starter series” to EUR 60,990. Were customers deceived by a tempting false proposal?

Where is the advantage of the customer of the Y series?

While the old and new model lived it on the brand configurator, EUR 9,000 separated the old autonomy of Y Grande from Nova in its starting version. A significant price difference was justified by some integrated devices as standard in the Y: Y series: Y:

  • Painting: United Black (1,300 EUR) or Quicksilver Gray (EUR 2,600);
  • 20 -inch rims Hroltovice (2,100 EUR);
  • Connecting hook (1,350 EUR);
  • BOOST POWER BOOST (EUR 1,800);
  • Specific badges and insert a “start series”.

In fact, by adding all these devices to the old version of the Y Grande with all -wheel drive (51,990 EUR), it has been a slight financial advantage for this limited edition, except that it benefits from all changes to the changes. However, she still created a debate in the brand fans. Many of them have not found a real attraction and Tesla is likely to prove them correctly by revealing the new prices of the Y model.

A specific surface for launching the new model is the legion among car manufacturers. In general, brands, like Stellantis Group brands, offer a model well equipped at the cost of a call that must help run marketing with ideal configuration without tons production. Customers win mainly with such an offer.

Tesla decided to restore this concept first with Cybertruck (founding edition), then with the new Y., where other manufacturers offer the economy for provided equipment, Tesla before exclusivity with their specific badges.

Tesla really tried to offer the equipment of the Y series in Europe. The customer mainly applies to stored options without the real economy. This also includes limited selection of colors and increased consumption with 20 -inch rims, instead of the more economical and more comfortable 19 inches.

The high autonomy of the all -wheel -drive Y -drive model is available on the configurator from 52,990 euros. If we choose United Black Shade and add additional trigger options, we get a vehicle for 59,540 euros, instead of 60,990 EUR starting series. In the Quicksilver Gray version, the configurator shows 60,840 euros, which is always lower than the release of Launch.

As part of the Numerama editorial staff, we find that the badges specific to the “start series” are paid expensive. Of course, customers will also be the first to accept their vehicle, and for some it is worth it. Tesla deserves a red card for this occasion because it is not very right towards its customers. Some may even be interested in canceling their order to return another. The Y Start -up series is not even added that cars can already undergo a more important discount than the classic version of the model.
