For lovers of motorized two wheels, accustomed to free parking in Paris, is approaching a small revolution. It seems important to us to make a small bites about the changes that occur 1 September 2022 in the capital.
With a little delay compared to planning the originally represented town hall in Paris, the rules for motorized two -round wheels are changing. This new measure applies to Paris 1 September 2022. Since this date, two -wheel parking with a thermal engine with several exceptions will be paid in the streets of Paris.
The motorized two -wheeled ox could benefit from another rest, but now scooters and motorization will have to go to the box office.
Where to park with a scooter or motorcycle?
In Paris, more than 42,000 parking spaces are reserved for motorized two -wheel cars. It is also possible to park a scooter or motorcycle at car parking spaces. In Paris there are slightly less than 150,000 car parking spaces, and if their number tends to be divided by two other reforms of the town hall, you can enjoy it for now. The offer is also set up with certain parking lots in the basement of the city.
We take this opportunity to remember that it is forbidden to park on the sidewalks, as well as in places reserved for bicycles. In case of offense you risk verbalization and/or seizure of your machine. We strongly recommend that you do not try it.

How much does parking cost for a motorized two -wheel?
The price (with the exception of the subscription) varies according to the parking sector. As with motorists, there are two prices valid from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 8 pm, for parking visitors:
- In the center of Paris, covering neighborhoods of 1 to 11, the price for a two -wheel ox with a thermal engine is 3 € per hour.
- For districts from 12 to 20, the price is set at 2 euros per hour.
In any case, the billing is carried out by 15 minutes.
You want to pay, you can use nearby parking meters. Rather, we recommend that you do this using one of the different available mobile applications: Paybyphone, Parknow/Easypark or Flowbird. The applications have the advantage that you can remember your vehicle and register. This will prevent you from registering in every parking lot and generate an unfortunate mistake of inattention.
For residents there is a subscription rate for two rounds. It is impossible to combine a subscription to a car resident and another for a scooter or motorcycle. A subscription to the resident for motorized two -round costs costs half than the car, or 22.5 euros per year or 45 euros for 3 years. Then the parking fee is 0.70 euros per day or 4.50 euros per week.
Experts can also have access to subscription patterns relatively similar to the population. If you want to consult with the conditions of obtaining, join the town hall in Paris.
Who is exempt from the two -wheel parking payment?
There are three categories of vehicles that can be free from paying parking:
What if I do not pay?
Like cars, if you do not set your parking, you will be exposed to the FPS position or package. For a motorized two -wheel wheel, FPS corresponds to 6 hours of parking or EUR 37.50 in the center zone (Arrondissements from 1 to 11) and 25 € in the rest of Paris (Arrondissements 12 to 20).
What if I go to a two -program two?
Electric two -wheel machines, whether scooters or motorcycles, are entitled to the offer of “low emissions” established by the City Hall in Paris. They can park for free at all paid places.
However, you are not able to park with an electric scooter so you can benefit from free. The mandatory procedure for obtaining a valid parking day is mandatory. Without this virtual ticket, your electric vehicle will be considered parking without paying the royal reward. He then issued the package after checking in the case of inspection.

Depending on your profile (visitor, resident or professional), the mobile application will allow you to restore the ticket to an expansion of 1 day, for visitors, to 6 days for other categories.
