Megastar Chiranjeevi has officially rewritten the record books as his latest Sankranthi blockbuster, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, soared to new heights on its 11th day. By January 23, 2026, the film’s worldwide gross reached an astounding ₹252.54 crore, officially surpassing the lifetime global collection of the 2019 epic Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (₹246.60 crore).
This milestone makes the Anil Ravipudi directorial the highest-grossing film in Chiranjeevi’s illustrious career. The film has shown remarkable resilience; despite the arrival of new competitors like Border 2, it managed to net approximately ₹179.15 crore at the Indian box office within just 11 days.
For Chiranjeevi, whose real birth name is the inspiration for the film’s title, this victory is particularly sweet as it cements his status as the undisputed “Sankranthi King” in the post-pandemic era, outperforming his previous recent hits like Waltair Veerayya.
The film’s success is a testament to the “Ravipudi magic,” blending high-octane action with the vintage comedy that fans have missed. The plot—featuring a national security officer protecting his estranged family—has resonated deeply with family audiences, leading to strong repeat viewings. Overseas, the movie has also been a juggernaut, contributing over ₹41 crore to the total gross.
Director Anil Ravipudi has expressed his gratitude, noting that the film was his “expression of love” for the Megastar, incorporating several Easter eggs from Chiranjeevi’s classic hits like Chantabbayi and Gang Leader. As it enters its second weekend, trade analysts are eyeing the ₹300 crore worldwide club, a feat that seemed ambitious at launch but now looks increasingly likely given the current momentum.
