Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has achieved a monumental and historic run at the global box office, shattering records by crossing the Rs 350-crore mark in net India collections in just ten days of its release.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, this espionage action-thriller, which also features a stellar ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, premiered on December 6, and immediately established itself as a powerhouse, opening strong and sustaining its momentum across its first and second weekends.
The film’s second Sunday (Day 10) proved to be its most significant day yet, netting an estimated Rs 59 crore in India, which is widely reported as the biggest single-day haul and the biggest second Sunday collection ever for a Hindi film, surpassing the record previously held by movies like Pushpa 2.
The ten-day domestic net total of approximately Rs 351.75 crore has made Dhurandhar Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing film of all time, easily beating the lifetime collection of his previous records, such as Padmaavat (Rs 302.15 crore).
Furthermore, its phenomenal domestic success, coupled with a surging performance in the overseas market which pushed its worldwide gross collection past Rs 530 crore, positions Dhurandhar as a global blockbuster, now firmly setting its sights on challenging the colossal lifetime earnings of cinematic giants like K.G.F: Chapter 2 (Rs 435.33 crore) and cementing its status as one of the biggest Indian cinematic events of the year.
