Sad twist of fate!!!

Just returned from Manali- left a part of my soul behind. I still remembered the breaths of fresh air, still looking at the mighty mountains in my mind, my heart still pounding from the hypoxic climbs to Rohtang and the creeping smell of sulfur in Vashisth.
And a joyful smile on my face, physically alive here in the memories of the time spent.
I love mountains.
Still playing the playlist I played earlier on the way, I stopped at a traffic light.
Suddenly; I feel the impact. And it doesn’t stop: rather, it turns into a push and then a push forward. I’m confused what’s going on. And then I hear the sound of hard teaching and the shattering noise of glass. The feeling of compression amazed me. I turn to see my vision of a girl girl, a giant beast of 12 wheeled vehicles as it shadowed my field of vision closer. When I hear the twisting sound of metal, grills and scrapes and cut out of shape- I let go of the handbrake and press clutch- the car eases up and begins to move along the force causing a traumatic cacophony. I can feel the structure relax as the forces acting on it change from twisting to pushing and the stress is released as the car moves forward and silence follows.

I pray no one hears it.

The eerie silence is broken as people gather outside and ask me about my condition. Several begin to surround the truck yelling at the driver.
I’m too shaken to react. Then I gather my wits. I start the car, it rushes to life. I’ll get out, thanks to everyone who tells them I’m fine.

I look at the truck driver and the truck. It was empty. It probably fell from his load and now the driver and cleaner were having a good time after a long distance. There was a truck watering hole nearby. Perhaps he was not afraid; A little too much to realize what’s going on around.

I looked into his eyes. His eyes were worried. His face looked overwhelming. The expressions of someone who realizes something bad is about to happen.

Then someone grabs him and drags him off the truck. I turn to them uncontrollably and say that he let go of what happened. The damage was done. Hitting someone won’t make it better. And I didn’t want to take any money from the poor guy. My insurance will take care of the car. Let it be what it was.
I thanked everyone profusely. I thanked God for protecting me from any bodily harm. I just wanted to get away from the commotion. People looked at me quizzically and then scattered. I got in my car and moved out.

I didn’t look back.

He couldn’t dare!

It took me a long time to type, but no more than 3 or 4 minutes.

I called the NEXA service center and told them everything. It was very nice of them to tell me to imitate the car even though it was 7 in the evening. They said one of the people would be there to take care of me. I stretched in 15 minutes and only then did I have to use my guts to look back when I parked the car.
Well, for all the commotion and drama that ensued, the car didn’t do much damage. The rear bumper was off, the tail lights were broken, and the rear quarter panel was scratched and dented. It certainly sounded like a lot. The Nexa people have already filled out the case file for me and filled in the details. They inspected the car and took my signature and arranged for me to be dropped home. I was told it would take a weekend. The usual personal service WhatsApp group was created and I got all the updates. While I’m at it, I also asked for the car to be fixed and a few more teeth and fur skins. I got an update that the car was serviced and sent to the Body Shop. Regular updates we have given regarding the arrival and equipment of parts.

I thought it was over…

The next week of Passad I knew that whatever work was requested, whether it was done well, the post for the completion of the work or any intimation looking at the handover of the car was missing. I gave up so I called the service manager and he was unable to give a satisfactory answer. I decided to visit the service center. I reached and checked the car. The service manager was very enthusiastic and insistent that the work was complete and could not update the group and that I was towing the car. Smalled something fishy. So I called him and seriously asked that the whole matter be explained to me. Turns out they accidentally broke the rear wheel trim when assembling the car. This would lead to the accumulation of water between the paneling and what can lead to rust. It’s not a major thing, but then I insisted that I wanted the car to be completely ravely and I wouldn’t take something so incomplete. This breakage was not mine so it should be fixed. I was told it would be taken care of and refused to take the car.

Another week passed, I called the guy and again he gave fishy answers. I then called the senior manager. He said he would investigate the situation and then get back to me. After about half an hour he called back and then again started making lame excuses that this part was not available to them and that they ordered but the truck got punctured and then the driver lost his Chappal. He should have looked for it and then lost the other one. Then he forgot where he was going. I lowered my tone again. It turned out that the manager wanted to give the cost as a fine to the mechanic who fixed the car, while the mechanic demanded that he was not able to this fine and in this commotion my car cars. I am researching about the price of the part. I was told it would come around Rs 5000. I don’t want any poor man to suffer. So I explained my desire to talk to Bill My lysf and receive my car first. I got positive insurance.

After 3 days I got a call that the car was ready. I went to delivery and completed the formalities. Then I realized I didn’t pay anything extra. I investigate and was told it was the full bill. I specifically wish to meet the senior manager. When I gave it, the very nice person told me that the matter of the institution has been reported to the higher authorities in Maruti. It seems to be company policy that any job card not completed by Ben within 3-4 weeks is shelved and reviewed by higher authorities. After going through the entire report, the company offered to waive all goodwill charges and ordered my car as soon as possible. The manager managed to give me special greetings from company officials.
And so the Entitare episode unfolded.

Did not someone say that the gods in a mysterious way.
